The accumulated experience of LADIS staff, acquired during the execution of various projects at the national scale, helped them build a large expertise in the Foreign Trade Sector. Many of them have participated in the national efforts related to Foreign Trade (FT) since 1987. In LADIS, the team continued its efforts in FT and initiated a number of activities supporting the Government of Egypt/ Ministry of Foreign Trade efforts to expand Egypt's share in international trade. Applying a well-established methodology based upon a clear definition of an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Strategic Plan followed by a number of developmental projects, LADIS has executed a number of projects with different agencies of the foreign trade sector:

   - Defining an ICT Strategic Plan for the Commercial Representatives
   - Defining the ICT Strategic Plan for the Foreign Trade Sector
   - Implementing the ICT Strategy for CRS, through 8 large projects

Furthermore, LADIS has carried out a number of short term assignments in this arena:
   - Evaluation of current IT systems and needs assessment for the Gen.
   - Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC)
